HOUSE OF HOPE

KENYA

SERV InternationalSERV International never set out to open an orphanage. In 2008, our Founder Steve Kasha was taking multiple trips to Kenya and millions of meals were being distributed.

As we were continuing our mission, we crossed paths with children who had no food, no family, and no future. We saw a need that we couldn’t say no to. In 2008, House of Hope was established.

House of Hope is located in the Northwest corner of Kenya. It is now a refuge to sixty-seven at-risk children, ages 4-18, who have been rescued from extreme and unbearable living conditions. The children receive a safe and healthy environment, Christian teachings, nutritional meals, education, health care, hygiene awareness, psychological support, and household management. In the words of the children, House of Hope is “a place of happiness”.

REBECCA’S STORY

Rebecca was one of the first children who came to live at House of Hope eight years ago. Now a young woman of 18, Rebecca lives in her own room on the SERV campus, a time and place of transition from the children’s dormitory into adult life.

Soon, Rebecca will finish high school and be the first student from House of Hope, and the first person in her family, to graduate high school.

SPONSORSHIPS: KENYA

Share in the sponsorship of a child for only $55 per month.

SERV’s House of Hope child sponsorship program allows you to build a personal relationship with a child, or children of your choice. You’ll receive news of progress, keeping you connected to the improvements of your sponsorship.

You will be able to write letters and send your child gifts forming a bond between your child or children once – twice a year. He or She will also know your name, pray for you and write to you occasionally.

House of Hope Kenya offers a loving, Christian environment where 67 children receive nutritious food, clean water, clothing, shelter, education, vocational training, medical care and spiritual development.  SERV provides a transitional program for teens aging out at the age 18 who are either in high school, trade school, college or beginning their career.

We are investing in these children to one day leave the House of Hope, become leaders in their villages and impact future generations.

A full sponsorship allows SERV to cover all of the child’s expenses at the House of Hope. Support from our donors and partners allows SERV to expand and strengthen our program.

You can sponsor a child for as little as $55 per month.

Or you can cover 2/5 for $110, or fully sponsor a child for $275.
