House of Hope, Kenya

"A place of happiness."

Located in the northwest corner of Kenya, House of Hope is a refuge to seventy-two at-risk children, ages 3-18, rescued from extreme and unbearable living conditions.

Our Story

From distributing meals to opening a home

SERV International never set out to open an orphanage. In 2008, as our founder was distributing millions of meals across Kenya, we crossed paths with children who had no food, no family, and no future. We saw a need we couldn’t say no to.

The children receive a safe and healthy environment, Christian teachings, nutritional meals, education, health care, hygiene awareness, psychological support, and household management.

Child Sponsorship

Share in a child's sponsorship for $55/month

SERV’s House of Hope child sponsorship program allows you to build a personal relationship with a child. You’ll receive news of progress, write letters, and know that your child prays for you.

A full sponsorship is $385 monthly, but you can share in a sponsorship for as little as $55 per month.

House of Hope Sponsorship

Help support the overall program for any amount a month. Funds cover building and vehicle maintenance, emergency reserves, and children not yet fully sponsored.

Rebecca's Story

From resident to staff member

Rebecca was one of the first children who came to live at House of Hope fourteen years ago. Now graduated from the program, she has joined the House of Hope team full time — the first person in her family to graduate high school.
